LIMITED RELEASE Albariño
SPAIN’S PRIZED WHITE GRAPE
Albariño (al-bar-EEN-yo) is native to Galicia in northwest Spain where it thrives in the cool, wet maritime climate; the nearby Atlantic Ocean imparts a signature saline note. One of the key white wine grapes of the Iberian Peninsula, it is prized for its natural
palate-cleansing acidity, coastal brine, and expressive fruit flavours. Albariño’s popularity outside of Spain continues to grow as wine drinkers discover its freshness and versatility, and the grape is now gaining ground in coastal vineyards across California, Oregon, and New Zealand. Expect to see a lot more from Albariño.
FLAVOUR PROFILE
The fruity palate is rich with orchard fruit flavours, vibrant grapefruit and lime, complemented with subtle floral undertones. Fresh and zesty with mouth-watering
acidity and light salinity on the finish.
FOOD PAIRING
The perfect wine for anything seafood. Try it with grilled calamari, shrimp risotto, or fish tacos. White meats, grilled vegetables, tapas, or a creamy caesar salad also
pair well with a chilled glass of Albariño.
